With this innovative technological solution the ram of the punch press centre is activated by the “eletek” system through an electric motor and a ballscrew. The machine ram is therefore a fully controlled axis with the characteristics of an electrical axis which are great precision, flexibility and programmability. The power that the “eletek” system can supply is the same as the equivalent hydraulic model and, therefore, this punch press centre is suitable not only for reduced thickness sheets but also for thick sheets.

The advantages of the “eletek” technology are both ecological and economical. In fact, the removal of the hydraulic unit eliminates all problems related to the periodical waste of a large quantity of oil with all the related environmental implications and the extremely low power requirement considerably reduce the machining cost and the requirement of installed power.
